Students Enjoy Rowley House Tour
Dr. Oscar Knade, a member of the board of Preservation
Williamsport, gives students from the gifted program at Curtin Middle
School an introduction to the E.A. Rowley House Museum, 707 W. Fourth
St., prior to a tour Tuesday afternoon. According to Knade, the
staircase stained glass window cost more than most average houses
built during that era (1888). Bob Elion, a member of the board of
Preservation Williamsport, details some of the architectural elements
of the secondary parlor in the house.
